I hope the old players arrange to do an event of some sort. I would definitely fire it up (I still have it installed).

btw anyone want to buy a 2nd hand copy of "Planetside" or "Planetside - core combat" on PC CD-ROM ? going really cheap

CRS keep spamming offers to me...any better? Are the engine improvements worth the effort to DL it again?

I doubt it will even run on this anyway

Planetside at its peak, will always remain my favourite game and time spent online.

I'm sure most of that enjoyment came from the guys and girls here. But Planetside was a big part of that.

They are planning some sort of event(s): https://www.reddit.com/r/Planetside/comments/4okqbb/planetside_1_announcement/d4di7a2
With the main events being June 24-26, and on the day of shutdown. I'm not sure if I am going to download the special launcher and packet collector though.

Nothing has come close to the good times spent in PlanetSide with Fight Club.

Friends were made and laughs were had. I and am sure you all can remember still specific incidences of hilarity. Even after 10 years.

I dont think anything can top mine and Buggerlugs get banned for the tower bombing incidents. I cant believe we actually did that, and on the US servers as well. I remember crying with laughter.

I remember Brune joining our TS channel and after listening to our pissed up conversation said he had found a good home for his outfit, Everlasting was it called?

So many good times. Some hard times as well but we were the best outfit to be in for a long time if you liked both a laugh and some serious action as well.

yes, PS1 was indeed my best online-game time too, beneath Everquest1

We had some fun with the outfit in the last years.
Freedomshot, we should preserve those memories in a seperate topic
Everybody had its own experiences with the outfit and the game

It was good wasn't it? Riding MAXs on the wings of Galaxies...Max crashing towers into a blaze of death and failure then doing it all over again! SHHD...base drains...and of course spamming Chamone Muthafucker on US servers while suiciding Galaxies into bases...they never did see the funny side but my oldest still thinks of it as legendary! (o_o)

Twas Good

I may frame the box art now!

I am going to be immensely disappointed if no one explains this tower bombing incident to me! :P
Pretty please?

Anyone care to explain?

I think it's fair to say that it was immensely funny at the time but, if we who bore witness (and took part) spelled it out, it could be mis-construed as a bit tasteless given what we were doing on a particular day of the year...alcohol helped this happen! It's evil, there's your proof!

But the bannings were even funnier, how many got banned in the end? Can't remember the numbers!
