So I'm looking for a game that has a good story.
Something like Dragon Age : Origins, where you have a back story and a history. Not just some no named random. I want the game to actual have a story impacted by my choices...

Any suggestions?

It's sad how very little choice you have for games like Witcher 3/Dragon Age, but Pillars of Eternity, Alpha Protocol and Dragon's Dogma are good alternatives.

I'll give Pillars another go. It seemed pretty decent

The Gothic/Risen games are a bit marmite, but if you happen to like marmite there is a lot of content there.

But not Gothic 4. Coz that was shite even if you like marmite

I won't lie, I love it that much when I want an RPG fix I usually install DA:O again... despite its flaws I still think it's the best RPG I've played. oddly I have DA:I but never really played it, I really should.

Oh or the original Mass Effect for sci-fi shooty stuff and a bloody good story.

New stuff I'm hearing good things about Pillars of Eternity 2, though I never really clicked with the first one. Apparently patches changed it quite a bit so I should really try that again.
