Screen Capturing hardware / software... |
|
I've never looked into this before but I've hit a point now where I am strapped for cash for AAA titles / PC hardware etc and so I thought why not go back to my retro stuff?
I've got older hardware / software that my PC should be able to capture with the right hardware / software and a whole load of older steam games (some of which will work via the PC).
So I thought, why not! Nothing better to do hardware and software wise atm, besides Raspi and resurrecting the A1200.
Anyway...any tips on hardware video / audio capture for anything from coax to HDMI would be appreciated.
Is Open Broadcast software (https://obsproject.com/) any good?
Thanks in advance...
ps - the other reason is that my line is being upgraded to fibre for very little extra pennies soon so I should have sufficient bandwidth.

We use Black Magic HDMI capture kit at work. It's pretty damn good

Some of it is a bit pricey, but it's pro kit so 100% fit for purpose. If ya spend a bit more, you can get 4K ready too
